Academy Cup: 08 JAN 2012
The scores please… WEEK ONE of The Drag Academy Cup climaxed at Bingo in The George on Sunday. The two Houses (Wardrobe Malfunction and No Fixed Abode) took to the stage to earn points and had the theme LOVE to guide them. Their performances were evaluated by the regular mentors and some of the audience, which included TV3′s Family Fortunes presenter Alan Hughes, Eurovision winner Niamh Kavanagh and some girl whom I renamed Mundy. Points were awarded (and deducted) using the criteria Originality, Presentation and Performance.
It’s Christmastime!
The Class of 2011 at my Drag Academy wish you all a very merry Christmas. This project was a test in Lip Synching and Performing for Camera and was recorded/edited over 2 hour period.
“Do They Know It’s Christmas?” More like, “Do they know the words?”. You decide!
Last Seasons Greetings
Show Biz
Backstage at Bingo is a very strange place. Entertainers in their natural habitat doing stuff. Here are two entertainers doing stuff. It looks like what they are doing in Ecstasy tablets but they are actually sorting stuff. Like false nails and buttons and stuff. Yeah. Stuff. The fecking junkies.
Seoul Music
I’ve got Seoul! Because, today I am listening to Korean pop music. Drag Academy resident Korean “exchange student” Flora S Nana is certainly adding some Asian pop culture candy to the course and she’s convinced me to do a duet with her next week… in Korean. I mean, how hard could it be?
