The lovely Roisín Ingle took a break from talking about herself in her fabulous Irish Times Magazine column to give my 15th anniversary bash a plug. This is a big thrill because if Roisín likes me then my snobby neighbours have to come around to the idea that I can live on their street!
Thanks Roisín, you’ve made a social pariah very happy.
From Irish Independent Weekend Magazine 23/6/2012:
Listings for “This Week” and the 15th Anniversary show.
From the Irish Independent 22/6/2012:
“Sunday night bingo has the reputation for being the best night out in Dublin and newcomers be warned - this mix of bingo and cabaret drag show is addictive. “
I like my quote: “I can’t believe it has been 15 years. At this rate the show will soon be older than I am supposed to be!”.

I love this screen test of the legendary Romy Schneider doing all manner of fabulous arty things (like licking water and blowing smoke through her nose) for a screentest for the film L’Enfer. It’s almost exactly how I prepare for my scenes.
At this week’s show, I have a Snowball that’s worth €1,200 – that’s a Spanish Bailout for one – plus a pile of other pointless giveaways. Of course, there’s more than just bingo… We have Dancing Bears and Cock-Fights and our annual Throw The Onion competition. Come along from 9pm and try your luck. I’ll be joined by my Northern Rocks, Portia Diamonte and Bunny O’Hare – one of them has the Olympic flame concealed on her person… Also propping me up will be Dolly Grip and Veda.
It’s a Bank Holiday, which means a spectacular show at Bingo this weekend. The snowball is €1,100 and it’s up for grabs. There are also several other great prizes to be won, including a guaranteed cash giveaway of €200. We also have a pin-the-tail on the drag queen competition, where you get the chance to follow Peaches home… All this and more. You’ll be so glad you called!
